Formalities
It is important to note that French nationals must have a passport valid for 6 months after the return date to board the Dream Grenadines cruise. Passengers who present themselves with a simple identity card will be denied boarding. Foreign nationals should check with their embassy to find out about the different regulations in effect according to their nationality, especially if a visa is required. It is also recommended to check with the Embassy of Saint Lucia, as a visa is mandatory and must be obtained before departure

The currency is the euro and checks are not generally accepted. It is customary to leave a tip of 10 to 15% of the bill.
Climate
The climate of the Caribbean is tropical and offers a pleasant temperature all year round, generally between 24°C and 28°C. Although the rainy season is in the summer, the sun is often present for long, beautiful days. The waters are also warm, with an average temperature of around 26°C, ideal for swimmers and water sports enthusiasts.
Time difference
The time difference in the Caribbean is 5 hours behind GMT in winter and 6 hours behind in summer. The sun rises between 5 and 6 am all year round, and sets between 5:30 and 6:30 pm.
Health
Martinique is a French region and is therefore subject to the same health standards and regulations as in metropolitan France. It is recommended to have up-to-date “universal” vaccinations such as diphtheria, tetanus, polio, hepatitis B, and hepatitis A if necessary.
Electricity
Electricity in Martinique is 220 volts and 50 Hz, the same as in France.

Concerning the culture of Martinique, although the majority of the population is Catholic, there are also religious minorities.

As for the activities practised in Martinique, the island offers a varied choice for all tastes, whether you are a fan of idleness or sports. Festivals and celebrations
In Martinique, festivities are numerous throughout the year. The carnival, which takes place in February-March, is the island’s most important event, where the population moves to the rhythm of music and wild dances.
On May 8, the city of Saint-Pierre commemorates the eruption of Mount Pelée with cultural and musical events. It is a highlight of the year for the city and its inhabitants.
